Position: Mechanical Inspector

Location: Greater Boston Area

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections of machined and vendor-supplied products with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field
  • Utilize various inspection tools to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications
  • Interpret blueprint requirements, GD&T, and various specifications
  • Operate and program Zeiss CMMs with Calypso software, Hexagon CMMs with PCDMIS software, Optical Comparators, and other inspection devices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as design applications like Solid 3D Models
  • Effectively communicate inspection findings to relevant personnel
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and work collaboratively with the team
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining precision and attention to detail
  • Understand and adhere to the concepts, processes, and KPIs of an ISO 9001 environment
  • Familiarity with calibration activities

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience inspecting machined and vendor-supplied products
  • Proficient in using a variety of inspection tools
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, GD&T, and various specifications
  • Experience with Zeiss CMMs (Calypso software), Hexagon CMMs (PCDMIS software), Optical Comparators, and other inspection devices
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and design software (Solid 3D Models)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret, document, and communicate inspection findings
  • Ability to work independently or with minimal assistance
  • Capability to perform inspection activities in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of the concepts, processes, and KPIs of an ISO 9001 environment
  • Familiarity with calibration activities
