The need for diversity and inclusion in tech has become increasingly evident. Women, who have historically been underrepresented in the tech industry, are now making significant strides, breaking barriers, and driving innovation. Diversity and inclusion have become vital pillars for driving innovation and progress. While in recent years we have seen huge changes in the industry we still are no where near where we need to be.
In November 2023 Realtime hosted their first Women in Tech Roundtable and based on the feedback we have received we are hosting a series of events in Dublin and Belfast in 2024. We have plans to bring our events to Boston soon!
By hosting Women in Tech- Roundtables, Realtime want to give a platform for women to come together, share experiences, and support one another in a field where they may often feel isolated. We hope by creating a supportive environment, these events empower women to embrace their roles in technology and pursue their passions with confidence.
Women in tech roundtables bring together professionals from diverse backgrounds and experiences, creating an environment for collaboration and knowledge sharing. Participants have the opportunity to exchange ideas, best practices, and insights on topics ranging from leadership and career development to technical innovation and industry trends. By leveraging the collective expertise of the group, we hope these roundtables can spark creativity, inspire new perspectives, and drive innovation within the tech industry.
For many women, entering and navigating the tech industry can be daunting, especially in environments where they are underrepresented. We hope that these roundtables can play a role in building confidence and empowerment by providing a supportive community where women feel valued, respected, and empowered to pursue their ambitions. By connecting with peers who share similar experiences and challenges, women can gain the confidence to assert themselves, take on leadership roles, and make their voices heard in the male-dominated tech industry.
Networking is a cornerstone of career growth and professional development. We hope by hosting these women in tech roundtables it will offer a prime opportunity for building connections and forging collaborations. Whether it’s through formal mentorship programs or informal networking sessions, participants have the chance to forge meaningful connections, expand their professional networks, and access new opportunities for growth and advancement. These relationships can be invaluable in navigating the complexities of the tech industry and unlocking doors to career progression.
